Microsoft has confirmed several updates to new Windows 10 error warnings via MICROSOFT
Earlier this week the ever-reliable BlappingComputer reported that "numerous" users running Windows 10 1903 were being affected by failures and a variety of obscure error code warnings when installing the latest KB4512508 cumulative update. Now Microsoft has solved the problem,

In an update to the Windows 10 Health Dashboard, Microsoft explains that the problem affects both the Windows 10 and Windows Server 1903 versions, but believes that it actually began three months ago in the May 29, 2019 KB4497935 update, Which makes for a longer duration. Microsoft says it is "working on a proposal" but offers no time limit for a set time. Furthermore, even this is unlikely to end.

As the latest issue of Windows points out, Microsoft only accepts the problem due to a single error code (0x80073701)  when the user is only one of five errors they are seeing with the upgrade. Other being: 0x800f0982, 0x800f081f, 0x800f0845 and 0x8024200D. So not only is it unknown whether Microsoft will recognize these other problems, the codes themselves are very vague which affect users very rarely.

All of which brings us back to the forced roll out of Windows 10 1903 for the first time. The update has been a mess, so pushing it to users does little to inspire confidence behind other deceptions. Microsoft is also in the race to address new worm vulnerabilities and visual basic issues that affect every version of Windows 10.
